About Curtis

40 years experience as bass player, teacher, studio musician. Played with various professional artist in gospel, rock r&b, and funk. Students learn how to play songs within the first three weeks.

Began my own music school in 2005

About the lesson

I determine the level the student is starting lesson (beginner, experience, professional etc...). I work with them from their level of expertise and the types of music they enjoy playing.

I have worked with beginners, experienced professionsal, young children, seniors and everything in between.

The student should look for someone who is willing to work with the them at their pace and musical preferences; an instructor that has a passion for teaching and able to instruct a variety of genres. The instructor should have professional experience as a performer on stage and in the studio.

I recently performed in a musical tribute to the musical artist Prince.

What are your goals: personal enjoyment, to become a professional etc. What type of instrument do you want to play? How much time are you willing to dedicate to learning and practicing. What types of music do you want to play.
