About LKN

The BEST professional instrcutors with professional experience in the Lake Norman area.

Our dance program focuses on developing a strong foundation in dance from professional instructors with an emphasis on Ballet technique. We also offer Jazz, Tap and Hip-Hop classes as well.

LKN Perform offers a wide variety of music lessons by professional instructors in Piano, Guitar, Voice, Brass, String, Percussion and Woodwind instruments. Private and group lessons are offered for all instruments.

Our Acting program is based in classical training, providing our students with a solid foundation while allowing them to grow and explore their artistic interests. Our instruction is geared toward the students age while continuing to challenge them.

Seeing the light in students eyes when they reach goals!

All of our teachers start from the basic love of their art form - whether that is dance, acting or music it starts from the wonder of being a child and wanting to express themself in a different and unique way. :)

All of our instructors have college training in their field and professional experience in their area as well.

All of our teachers evaluate students and place based on their ability not just by age. For music students we talk to the student about their goals and if they have had previous experience what they have learned. Then they are evaluated by the instructor and a plan is put in place  to get them on the correct track.

We have worked with all types of students over the years from ages 3 to adults and from students aiming to be a professional all the way to those who just want a great hobby. For us it's all about providing a great arts foundation!

Ask questions and listen to their training - don't just look for tricks or gloss.

At Lake Norman Performing Arts students can explore dance, music and acting seemlessly under one roof. Our students can truly be a triple threat - dance, music and acting! We also have specialized classes like our all boy hip hop class & our teen filmmaking class.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should accept that all art forms take hard work and deadication in order to progress and commit to putting in the time and effort to achieve their goals. Then talk to the instructor, set your goals and stick to them.
