About Michael
12 Tone Music Publishing, located in Dayton, Ohio, was founded in 1996 by Grammy-Nominated Music Educator Mike Overly. With a unique focus on innovation rather than imitation, the company offers a distinct approach to music education for guitar and bass. Their educational resources include private and one-line lessons, instructional music method books, flashcards, and audio and video downloads. Over the years, they have successfully established the guitar and bass as musical equals to all other instruments, while providing tools for musicians to truly excel at their craft.
