About Danielle

Danielle Cooke is an established and diversified musician, producer, and teacher in South Orange County. She has been studying music for over 25 years and teaching for 16 years. In her early childhood and young adolescence she studied classical piano and classical voice. She played the works of Beethoven, Chopin, and Bach in high school and college. She trained as a coloratura soprano and received a BA in music with concentration in Voice from California State Long Beach.

She then went on to perform with local opera companies in the Los Angeles area post college. During this time she began teaching and expanding her musical horizons. She trained her voice to sing different repertoire including jazz, blues, pop, and rock. She found her true voice when she started writing, producing, and arranging her own music. She began studying guitar during this period and has become accomplished with this instrument. She is competent on protools and received an Occupational Skills Award in music production from Saddleback College.

Danielle has a unique approach to music and teaching. She utilizes her knowledge from formal training and experimenting with many types of genres in both creating music and helping her students become artists. She passionately thrives on teaching students to become more well rounded musicians and performers. Additionally, she tailors each lesson to the individual student’s needs and desires. She is very patient, kind, and caring. Music is what Danielle lives and breathes for and loves sharing her knowledge with amazing kids and adults.

I have been singing and playing piano for over 25 years. I was originally trained in classical piano and voice.

About the lesson

I tailor each lesson to the needs of the student. Technique and musicianship grow when studying with me. A lot of my piano students learn Hanon exercises. Major/Minor scales, arpeggios, and chord progressions. My piano students learn classical, blues/jazz, and popular tunes. My voice students increase their vocal range, dynamic range, control of breath, support, and overall vocal quality when studying with me. And the music differes from person to person. I tend to have my vocal students sing music they enjoy.

All levels. Advanced piano and vocal students to four year olds. I teach students with autism and ADHD as well.

Details

One hour= $85.00 My Studio

45 Minute= $70.00

30 Minute= $55.00

In-Home Lessons are same fee plus a driving fee. Amount depends on location. I do not travel to homes for thirty minute lessons. In-Home lessons are limited as I see most of my students back to back at my home studio.
