My teaching approach: My teaching method is very versatile. I try to mold my teaching method to fit each student because every student is an individual and will learn things in a different way. An explantion of a technique to one student will not always work for the next student. My influences are: Van Halen, Dream Theater, Marc Broussard, Beatles, Red Hot Chili Peppers,Eric Clapton, John Mayer, Jason Mraz, Sara Barielles, Kelly Clarkson, Wes Montgomery, Dave Matthews Band, Ben Rector, Ed Sheeran, Miles Davis, Nathan East My guitar lessons take place in: The teacher's studio Guitar lessons typically take place on these days and hours: Monday through Thursday - 1pm to 8pm Guitar Techniques: Lead guitar, Rhythm guitar, Open tuning, Fingerstyle, Vocal Accompaniment, Performance, Improvisation, Jamming Skills, Reading Music, Music Theory, Scales and Exercises, Song Writing, Guidance In Equipment Selection Your first guitar lesson with me might include the following: I usually access a students playing ability by asking him to play some chords or scales. A guitar lesson with me might entail the following: We will start with a warmup, go on to learning a scale and then hit some rhythm and chord work. After that theory and improvising takes place. Finally, we work on a song chosen from a list picked out by the student to tie all the things from the lesson together. The qualities I look for in an ideal guitar student might include the following: My ideal guitar student has an open mind and good work ethic.
