About Jason

My teaching approach:

First I take into account what the parent's and student's ideas for the direction of the lessons. Then I propose lesson plans that fit those ideas. Every student I've had has a different motivation when it comes to guitar so it is important for me to teach within that without neglecting certain necessary fundimentals

My influences are:

Beethoven, Metallica, King Crimson, Pat Metheny

My guitar lessons take place in:

The teacher's studio or the student's home

Guitar Lessons with me take place in the following areas:

I teach any interested potential guitar students in the Fresno, Ca area

Guitar Techniques:

Lead guitar, Rhythm guitar, Performance, Improvisation, Jamming Skills, Reading Music, Music Theory, Scales and Exercises, Song Writing, Recording and Production, Guidance In Equipment Selection

Your first guitar lesson with me might include the following:

Teach them the anatomy of the guitar, teach them the string names and show them how to read chord and sale diagrams

A guitar lesson with me might entail the following:

A mixture of what the student wants to learn as well as fundimentals that I find imoportant for well rounded muscianship

The qualities I look for in an ideal guitar student might include the following:

One who practices
