About Eric

I've been teaching guitar and bass for the past 10 years. I enjoy it very much. I also play and perform regularly with a handful of different groups. I have also recorded on several albums/projects. I enjoy all styles of music and am always open to hearing and learning something new.

When teaching music, one is actually able to able to hear their students learn and improve. This can be very rewarding. I also enjoy getting the student to play the music that they are most influenced by, as it often helps achieve their particular musical goals.

I started teaching guitar lessons while I was in music school. I have continued to do it because it is a lot of fun!

I hold a Bachelor's of Music degree from Eastern Illinois University.

About the lesson

We establish some goals of the type of music we would like to play, and we work towards that through the use of technique, chords, and conceptual understanding.

I've worked with students of all ages at various levels of playing, from beginner to advanced.

Just make sure you are having fun learning and ejoying the process.

I was able to play a few different socially distaanced concerts over the Summer.
