About Jesse
To make music is such a beautiful thing, and being able to help people learn to create and understand it on deeper level is really nice.
I began teaching at age 19 when I worked as a guitar tech/ salesman at a great vintage guitar store in my hometown.
As a teenager I was mentored on bass and guitar by two members of the Doobie Brothers, Tiran Porter and Dale Ockerman. Later, I studied jazz improvisation and arraging with trumpet player/educator Ray Brown at Cabrillo College, and with the talented Dr. Daniel Cole at Pasadena City College. I am currently working on a Bachelor's of Music degree from California State University Los Angeles in commercial music and music technology. I have also been playing and performing in original and cover bands since I was a teenager, and working with Logic Pro since 2011.
