About Lisa

Lisa Bender, MME, MT-BC has a Bachelor of Science in Music Composition with emphasis in piano from Toccoa Falls College (class of 2005) and a Master of Music Education with emphasis in Music Therapy from the University of Kansas (class of 2011).

Lisa has been teaching piano lessons for the past eight years, teaching about 20 piano students, ages 4 through 70, as well as a few voice lessons. Since opening Meadowlark Music Studio in January 2012, she has enjoyed taking on music therapy clients, beginning guitar students, adapted lesson students, as well as increasing her vocal studio. Before the birth of her son, Mrs. Bender conducted weekly music therapy sessions at Village Shalom senior living community. She enjoys composing songs, playing the occasional gig, and volunteering her time to community activities.
