About Ross
Music is a journey that can be an enriching lifelong endeavor. We can learn for pure enjoyment and fun or to achieve specific short and long term goals out in the professional music world. I like to customize each students expereince to make sure the journey is fun and exciting the whole way. I'm here to help!
I really look forward to exploring music with students. I believe that enjoying the journey should be exciting and challenging. Walking down the path with a student can also be immensley beneficial to the teacher as well. Let's play some music!
I started teaching privately through word of mouth from students that approached me during gigs.
B.M. from Cal State Northridge in Jazz Studies (Jazz guitar performance).

First lesson is a great way to get to know the student and discuss their goals with the guitar. Learning should be fun and challenging. I enjoy working with students to explore their interests and love with music.
Finding a teacher that you vibe with is very important. A teacher must be able to recognize the students goals and work with them (not at them) in order to achieve their goals. Trust is a big part of the relationship.

Ross's teaching style is laid back yet eager to explore the music I was interested in learning. He knows an immense amount about the guitar and has a lot of experience as a working musician which is the kind of teacher I was looking for. I'd highly recommend Ross as a teacher to anyone!
