About Kate

I am a former college professor and active recording artist who has alot of experience in the music industry.

I have an performance diploma in classical piano, a B.M from Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA and an M.M from the University of North Texas. In short I have been instructed by the best and pass that and my live performing experience on to my students. I am good with children and am also good at teaching performing, theoretical techniques to professional musicians who are unschooled .A musician's doctor !

I have studied guitar with Seth Cohen, Bob Bozonelos (Mount San Jacinto College)

Classical and jazz singing with Kathleen Horne, Maggie Scott (Berklee)

Was a member of the famed University of North Texas Jazz Singers.

Drums with Jake Reed and Karl Arrieta

I have taught at California Baptist University in Riverside and various music schools in the Temecula area. One of my drum students performed at Carnegie hall.

About the lesson

I listen to them play or sing first. Then I make an evaluation and assign a curriculum accordingly.

For complete beginners I work on scales and technique and simple pieces.
