About Jonathan
I am a proven instructor on acoustic and electric guitars, bass, ukulele, songwriting, and music theory. I teach a wide range of styles, beginner to advanced.
My strengths on guitar, bass, and ukulele are rock & all its sub-styles, blues, soul/funk, country/bluegrass, folk, ska/reggae, and jazz.
I also interpret-teach styles which are new to my ears such as folk music from non-Western cultures.
FOCUS & QUALIFICATIONS:
The focus of my instruction typically involves teaching the student's favorite songs while simultaneously teaching the skills which will eventually allow him or her to solve the mystery of self instruction.
I am open and willing to bend with the varying instructional needs of each student. I do teach scales and theory as the interest and openness of each student dictate.
I've been teaching for well over 15 years.

I also have developed special drills for organizing left and right hand techniques that very few teachers know of, we go from point A to point B much faster.
