I've been taking Bluegrass and Flatpicking lessons from Brad for about 6 months now. Brad is great. He's very patient and easy going. Brad Farmer is a classically trained guitarist with an emphasis in Bluegrass guitar. He has the perfect teacher "temperament" and never gets frustrated with me...very patient and able to provide great insight on the best ways to practice so that you can obtain your goals quickly. I had started playing a ukulele on my own, hoping eventually to move on to guitar, but I wasn't getting any better following youtube videos. I figured the structure of live lessons would help. Brad has been perfect for this. He helped me with the basic mechanics of the instrument and allowed me to gain confidence. He encouraged me to make the jump to guitar and the transition was seamless. I really feel like my lessons are customized to me as we work on technical skills, music theory, and playing by ear. Each week he listens to how I play and what I want and adjusts assignments to fit my needs, all while emphasizing that playing music should be fun.
