About Alexander
I've been playing guitar for almost 15 years.
My background is in rock blues and metal, but more recently I’ve been playing a lot more singer/songwriter, folk and Christian/worship.
I love the process of people learning music *together*, because it was such a massive gift to me when I first was learning guitar. I find that a collaborate music learning environment is rich for both the student, and the teacher alike, aka, I find that I learn a ton as I’m teaching! That element, along with the joy a student receives as they learn, are things that I love most about my work.
Well, for starters, I took guitar lessons for years when I first started learning.
Separate from that, I’ve worked in non-profit organizations, particularly in leading small groups and helping to develop young people toward their goals.

Firstly, getting a good grid of their skill level. Once that is established, talking about some milestone goals that they’d like to achieve. This way, we can create a game plan together about what to focus on. I like to keep things custom and personalized, yet still universal in good foundation.
