About David
David is a fiddler, mandolinst, guitarist, and singer with a penchant for writing songs. Music is in his bones, so don’t be alarmed if he wiggles when he plays! He performs solo and in various bluegrass and modern groups, teaches workshops and private lessons for all ages, and lives for the moment when music comes alive in the people around him. He is the camp director and fiddle instructor at Every Folk, a folk skills and music camp he co-founded with his partner, Laura Benson.

I like to get to know my students and learn about their musical tastes and goals! I typically spend the first lesson evaluating a new students' experience and offering them a couple of broad stroke options for how we can go about getting them where they want to be.
