I liked the fact that he adjusted his lessons to fit my learning style. I had worked with 3 coaches before working with Aaron. None of the other coaches lasted more than 2 sessions. Because they were so rigid and felt incapable of progressing. Aaron was the complete opposite of those other coaches. He listened to my thought process and would let me ask questions. The questions I had were usually about the end of the lesson we were learning. The other coaches would say, "we aren't there yet, we will get there". Aaron would say, "that is what we are going to end with but let me answer your question". I am neurodivergent, diagnosed with ADHD and autism. I differently and Aaron helped me see the end result before learning the lesson. So we kind of worked backwards sometimes. I have never worked with anyone so open to accommodating my learning needs.

The result of this flexibility led to 9 months of 1-on-1 coaching and 2 recitals. I know regular attend open mics and I have even begun to write my own music. Aaron didn't just teach me guitar, he taught me the about music theory and shared the pieces I now use to expand my creativity with music.

Aaron also sent videos via text to answer question I had while practicing alone.

I only knew some chords when I started working with Aaron. Now I can read music (slowly but wow am I proud of myself), I can play alternating bass notes to make playing guitar alone sound more robust. I learned that I can hear and remember specific notes and use that as an anchor when learning new music. He gave me a platform to perform and invite my friends and family to see all I have learned. I am so grateful to him.

I almost forgot... he let me do floor time. I enjoy sitting on the floor and when I would get to uncomfortable sitting, he was fine with me sitting on the floor or standing. He often would join me on the floor. I included a few picture showing one lesson sitting on the chair, standing and then sitting on the floor.

Aaron is super knowledgeable! He cares about your progress, your musical interest, and goals. He tailors his teaching to your level and ability and is incredibly patient, helpful, and responsive. I can’t recommend hiring him enough!

Aaron was able to figure out what I did well and where my weaknesses were and communicated with me in a way that I was able to understand in order to exponentially improve over time. Whether it was with my limited knowledge of theory or reading/writing music at a beginner level or playing standards or understanding how to solo over jazz changes, he's been able to keep me on track with all of those multiple threads concurrently. I've been playing for over 30 years and had become pretty stagnant and was nowhere near being able to play legitimate jazz music, but I can say with 100% certainty that I'm now by far the best guitar player I've ever been and in just over two years working with Aaron, I feel like I can actually play jazz at an intermediate level. I could not recommend a better teacher than Aaron Lind for any guitar player of any music style at any level.

I recently took a guitar lesson from Aaron and was VERY impressed at his knowledge and delivery. I'm also a music teacher, and was looking to augment my knowledge of guitar. He helped me connect some critical knowledge and technique around left hand scales and finger positions, and right hand picking. I've also heard him perform, and can say that I highly recommend Aaron both as a teacher and performer.

My lessons with Arron have been extremely beneficial and I recommend him to anyone that is trying to learn or get better at playing guitar.
