About Scott

My teaching approach:

I am a professional classical guitarist with a jazz studies degree and a B.A. in music from Rhode Island College. I have over ten years of private teaching experience. I have taught students of all ages in many different genres of music. I teach my students not only how to play the guitar but I also show them the techniques they need to learn more effectively. These skills will help them succeed not only in their academics but also in their everyday lives. Studies show the highest scoring students are those who participate in music. Music teaches discipline, memory recall, improved concentration, spacial reasoning, kinesthetic intelligence and improved sensitivity through music. These abilities have a crossover affect in other subjects such as Math, Reading, Science and Foreign Languages.
