About Deric

I’m good at explaining the why rather than only the what or the how. I can show easy tricks to learn scales, chords, and shapes in a way to fundamentally understand them rather than simply memorize them.

I love seeing the excitement on a student’s face when they truly understand a new concept or learn a new skill

I like to give back what I’ve learned and share with those interested

I’ve been playing guitar for a few years and would like to share my knowledge

I’d never played guitar before and Deric was great at showing me how chords and scales share patterns. Currently working on learning my favorite song!
