Versatile Tutor providing lessons at a time and place conveneint to the Pupil, Experienced, Mature, Knowlegable, Patient. Offering Music Tuition in a variety of Instruments: Acoustic Guitar - Electric Guitar - Base Guitar - Classical Guitar - Slide Guitar - Mandolin - Banjo - Ukulele - Harmonica: Pilot Scheme introducing new instruments to the Tutoring Reportoire - Appalachian Dulcimer - Balalaika & Flute. Pupils are given the personal instructiion they need in a variety of teaching techniques tailor made to the individual in order to master the instrument, mainly by One to One:

When I was training at Spiral Arts I ran a one day Guitar & Mandolin Workshop. This gave me the confidence that I needed to try and establish myself as a Guitar Teacher. My very First Lesson was conducted in the Summer of 1993. It was a bit of a disaster as the Student could play better than me. Between that year and 1995 I provided a few more lessons on a sporadic basis as I was still in the experimental stages. I restarted again with more confidence on December 29th 1999 by registering with the Tax Authorities as a Self Employed Person and have not looked back since
1/ Community Arts Training @ Spiral Arts Gillingham Kent UK from 1992 to 1994: In addition to working and training at the centre as a Publicity Artist, I was introduced to the Rainham "Folk at the Oast Folk Music Club and played as a regular Floor Spot Player. Much of my Guitar expertise was gained there. This led to perfromances @ Local Radio, Local Junior School, Spiral Arts & Horniman's Museum London
2/ Voluntry & Freelance Guitar Tutoring experience @ Warren Wood School Rochester Kent UK: Ashford Oaks Community School Ashford Kent UK Decemeber to Date :
3/ 17 years experience as an Independant Freelance Guitar Teacher which I feel has also trained and moulded me. i.e. When I teach others in many ways I also teach myself

From absolute Beginners to Advanced from ages 5 yrs to 70 yrs
Students have included Doctors, Policemen, Firefighters, University Students, School Children, Teenagers, Senior Citizens/Retired, Lorry Drivers, Teachers, Financial Services Professionals and many more.
Seek a Tutor/Teacher who is Mature, posses Empathy and is Patient. If a Minor is having lessons, ensure that the Tutor has the relevent DBS Certification (UK)
I suggest that an Expert or Virtueoso Musician possibly may not always make the best teachers, they may not always have the patience to go at the Student's pace, and dare I suggest there maybe on occasion more concerned with their own self advancement or Ego/Image.
Don't always go for the cheapest: cheapest is not always the best
