About RACHEL
My name is Rachel. I am a Russian born Israeli. Russian had been the only language I knew as a child before I immigrated to Israel. I remember myself struggling to learn Hebrew often saying to myself in frustration that this language is impossible to study. Now, 30 years later, and after studying two more languages (English and Spanish), I consider Hebrew as my native tongue and a language I am best at. I dream and think in Hebrew, although in a bizarre way, I admit that I still count in Russian.
I got my first university degree in Israel and my Master's in the US on a full scholarship.
I am an experienced teacher. I teach children and adults, university students and professionals. I can teach conversational language as well as professional, such as legal language.
I have experience with creating varied curriculums and an interactive classroom environment and can personalize a program according to the student's needs, level of language proficiency and individual preferences.
I think that the hardest thing in studying language is to overcome the shyness barrier and get self-confidence in talking. That is why in my class you will do most of the talking.
My rates are flexible: $40-50, negotiable for long-term/ in person or online/special personalized needs
