About Julie
STEM-based public, private, and internationally trained tutor, specializing in Algebra, Trig, and Stats for the High School student. I am patient, clear, focused, and sanguine. I will teach you to understand your homework and will stand by you while you complete it yourself. I will use your textbook and instructor’s methods and I will compare those to any method that might be easier to understand - for example long division/ synthetic division/ polynomial division. I will inevitably find an occasional textbook or instructor error here and there, and you will come to understand through the basic fundamentals what is correct and why. We will occasionally do repetitions or drills so that you can see for yourself your own progress during our session. At the “end of the day,” your grades will be as strong as your capability. If we start with a low grade mid-way, I cannot guarantee an A in the course; however, if we start at the beginning and continue with serious intent, it is highly likely that your own capability will reach perfection.

Learn to excel at your High School STEM-based mathematics from a Stanford Graduate School of Engineering alum. I also learned Bayesian Statistics at a grande école in France - ENGREF - while earning my Diplôme d'Études Approfondies. I can teach you all the basics or fundamentals so that you understand and have confidence in your own abilities. I also am happy to use my undergraduate STEM education from land-grant public university Colorado State University College of Engineering to help you see how Algebra and Trig are applied in the real world. Full semester/quarter is preferred, but spot lessons are available. Serious students only.
