About Ellen

History major, graduated from Duke University in 2018 and excited to share my passion about History through tutoring! I love finding a way to tell a story through History as a way to remember important details and contextualize events from our past.

I love helping people find a way to connect with the material they are learning - that's the way to make it interesting! For me, it was always telling a story to connect dates I had to remember in early social studies classes. We can find your connection together and take on whatever task you have at hand.

I have always loved learning but understand that people have different learning styles and wanted to find a way to meet other students where they are!

I graduated from Duke University in 2018 with a degree in History and have several years of experience tutoring.

About the lesson

I typically like to meet with a new student to hear about their goals so we can come up with a plan to meet them and make sure our styles will work well together.
