About Michael

12 years of experience in a Higher Education setting. I'm a Former educator with 12 years of experience with students, Hold BA in Social Sciences (History, Geography, Government, Economics) from California Lutheran University, MS in Education Psychology from California State University, Fresno, and an MBA from Oregon State University. I possess a high degree of competency in multiple subjects, please email (concealed information) for inquiries.

I acually got atarted teaching Martial arts at age 16.

Former HS Educator and have experience in a college classroom as well. 12 years of direct experience working with college students in tutoring settings.

About the lesson

Depending on the subject and scope the student is needing help with I first want to set up a time to sit down with the student and find out more about their best learning methods, and subjects they feel they have mastered and what they feel they could use more work with. My goal is to work with students on their level and provide an experience where the subject matter can be applicable to the student.

HS and College Age Students

in Social Sciences they need to be able to make the material relatable to you. for example i've taught Finance to many college age students and i always ask them to bring their bank statment and we lok through it and use it as the content to make the topic relatable to them. I love therory but must make it applicable to the student.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
You should thin kthr ough your questions and ask for as specif an answer as possible. Topics like history and government can be fairly subjective which makes them both fun and at times difficult but their are still specific answers to the material the teacher is trying to convey.
