About Mitchell

I provide individually-tailored lessons in world and US history with the knowledge only a strong fan of history can bring.

I enjoy the ability to help students comprehend material and realize how history is in fact still important to our modern world.

I have a range of vital experience and training. From a young age I have been good at compiling information into more understandable pieces which I used to carry out charity fundraisers. As I got older, my experiences have gotten more direct. I was an intern at the US Holocaust Memorial Museum which gave my vital expertise at addressing topics of great seriousness with appropriate tact and responsibility. I have also been working as a substitute teacher since late last year which has given me plenty of hands-on experience as an educator.

About the lesson

I begin by discussing the areas a student is interested in, which ones they are less interested in and what is difficult for them. From there I construct lesson plans intended to bolster interest in what they are disinterested in and understanding of difficult topics.
