About Richard
The Reference Desk was started by a public librarian who specializes and dedicates themselves to public service and making those connections over a reference call or on the desk. The public librarian graduated with honors with an Masters in Information and Library Science from Pratt Institutite. They have a strong knowledge of the humanities and especially history and has experience doing homework help and mentoring at the library. The Reference Desk is ready to take your history questions and essays prompts.

The first thing I'd like to assess is their current skill level. This would have me sitting down and asking what their interest level in history is. What kind of issues do they have processing / understanding larger concept? Also what kind of learner is the student? Are they a rote learner or are they better hands on reading a text book?
