About Max
I'm a tutor who gets that sometimes learning is hard, I've been there too. I use a hands-on approach to learning, making use of critical thinking skills and getting to the root of the question.
I am a current student at Grand Canyon University, majoring in Secondary Education in history.

About the lesson

I will have a one on one meeting with either the student, parents/guardians, or preferably both. I want to make sure each student's experience is specific to how their brain is wired up, since a square block doesn't fit through a round hole. From there, lessons are conducted in a Socratic style, with students being asked to consider the "why" of the topic, on top of the "when" and "where."
This approach places the student into a mindset to relate to the topic, using those emotional responses to help information retention.
