About Phoenix
It’s all about feeling confident and safe around Horses. My lesson plans are built on the fact that safety comes first! Trust is built through ground work, feeling comfortable and mutual respect and love.nits not all about riding . Nothing happens overnight, but with dedication you can excel .
I love working with all ages, building a solid foundation that will stay with my students for life, as the joy horses bring me, I am hoping will carry on through you! I provide art therapy on a live unicorn, And also provide my services to actors/ actresses aspiring to have horseback riding on their resume.
Started teaching friends and their children, while working for other companies involved with horses.
Fromthere it has been a lifelong journey of joy
have spent my life working with horses, I ride primarily western, have worked cattle, rode hunter/jumpers, started young horses, driven carriages, worked as a farrier, and taught beginners and adults, film work, volunteered at therapeutic riding centers, been a groom at horse shows , and have 3 wonderful horses in my back yard I care for everyday . First lesson are always spent evaluating a new students skill lvl. Reading body language, so I can read the students confidence lvls around a horse. I bring one of my horses out , we brush them, and get comfortable around them, saddle up and I ground drive the horse so a new student can get a feel for what riding is like in an arena. Once that’s accomplished we can move on from there.
children and adults, disabled children, beginners and intermediate lvl students ,
recently provided one of my horses for a movie reel. Got the actor comfortable around the horse and riding him. Accomplished this is 1 day, gave homework of streches for the actor to do at home. On filming day the actor looked very confident and relaxed, like a proper cowboy on camera. My horse Spirit was even a camera horse
