About Theresa

Dressage-based Classical training, offering the highest level of service for both horses and riders in Northern Colorado.

Riding instruction for beginner through advanced, ages 5 to adult. Using gentle, time-tested, classical methods for dressage, jumping, and recreational riding.

My joy comes from watching a rider's improvement as they develop new skills and become more confident in their riding, and from witnessing the happiness that horses can bring to someone's life.

About the lesson

Horseback riding lessons offered by Theresa are tailored to each student's needs and level. Lessons can also be held online. The first lesson is free to define learning goals and methodology.

Perfect! Theresa is an excellent teacher. She is calm and explains things very well. She keeps the horses well being in mind and teaches this to her students. She has been very flexible with lessons and times. My daughter (15) has been taking lessons since June. She takes both private and group lessons and loves them both. Her riding has improved immensely and she is becoming a confident rider.

Perfect! I'm so happy that we found Holguin Equestrian! Theresa is fantastic. She has broad knowledge and a solid philosophy toward teaching and riding. Her horses are not "school horses" but true partners in teaching new riders. They are safe for the smaller riders and educated for the more accomplished ones.
I particularly like that my daughter is learning to ride by paying attention to how the horse moves, and how her body moves with the horse. I believe Theresa is a better trainer than those who taught me when I was a kid. By learning to feel the horse now, she will be a much better rider in the future.
My daughter and I are very happy.
