About Samantha

As a 15th Generation Wudang Sanfeng Pai and 26th Generation Longmen Pai practitioner of the Daoist arts, I've been immersed in a conscious lifestyle since birth and have understood that there was more than met the eye from a very young age. This curiosity has woven an amazing path of knowledge, techniques, stories and experiences that I share with students and friends all over the world to help them lead healthy, harmonious and happy lives.

Dao Moving Meditation combines the ancient techniques of tai chi, qi gong, dao yin, alchemy and meditation into a fluid class which focuses on our basic movements and body structure to increase our vitality, stress management and overall health and wellness. Each class is a little different than the other, as those who participate in the creation and synergy of the class. It is in common affinity that we meet and connect.

It's great to see the changes in the attitudes and behavior, both physical and emotional of students after a class. We all have challenges in our lives, and it's how we react and work through these challenges that can make or break our spirit. Through Dao Moving Meditations there's a combination of breath work and movement that can be used during stressful and trying times to lift our spirit and work through difficult moments.

I first began instructing group and individual lessons at the retreat center where I was studying, living and working. Since leaving the center I've continued instructing on my own.

Certified Tai Chi & Qi Gong Instructor, who trained/ worked intensely for six years learning the Daoist arts.

About the lesson

I always like to see where the students are in regards to their current knowledge of meditation, qi gong, martial arts or yoga, and what they are looking for within these lessons. Each student has a different need and focus, which is discuss in the first meeting. We cover basic breath work along with the foundations of the movement and some initial theory on qi, or energy.

I've worked with a range of students, abilities and ages, from those who have battled depression, have high stress jobs, PTSD or other trauma, are disabled, or just looking for a different perspective on life.
