About Craig
We are the only Judo dojo in Washington county offering Judo classes to adults year round. We also teach children who are old enough to tumble and listen to instruction.
our teaching staff has 40+ years combined teaching experience.
Watching students learn, evolve and become better fighters and better citizens is a great feeling. Every student brings their own perspective to the club, and all of the sensei's enjoy working with the variety and adding to their skills and experience.
I have been involved in Judo for 20 years, I have been a black belt instructor for 10 years. I am a 2nd Dan (degree) black belt. I have been cerified for Judo and self defense. We have other instructors on our staff who have more experience and higher rank. Our founding sensei is a ryokudan (6th Dan) black belt. Our club has been in continuos operation in Washington country (Hillsboro/Beaverton) since 1967.

We teach basic movement skills and how to take falls safely; after we have seen competence we integrate the student into the main class. The main class consists of beginners and advanced students as well as black belts, sometimes the beginners are taught separately depending on the topic, depending on complexity and safety, but many times we try to keep beginners and advanced students integrated.
