About Holly

I am an experienced tutor who also writes text books for children. I specialise in Key Stage 2 Maths, English, Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning and Creative Writing.

I recently graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University with a First Class Honours degree in Politics and have been tutoring whilst working towards my degree. I'm currently studying for my masters degree in War Studies.

I have taught children have gone on to achieve their goal of getting into grammar schools in the Trafford area of Manchester (Altrincham Boys, St. Ambrose, CEM consortium) and I am confident that learning via Zoom is just as effective as face to face tuition.

About the lesson

I focus on teaching first, then practice, then studying as a method to prepare for the 11+ examinations. My teaching focuses on building confidence within my pupils as I believe that is half of the battle when getting to grips with the 11+.

I've helped dozens of children prepare for their 11+ examinations in Trafford, with many going on to pass the examination for the school of their choice.

I specialise in Year 4 and 5 11+ examination prep and my handy online Zoom lessons mean that I can work around your schedule and your child can learn from the comfort of your home.

Learning materials will be recommended but not provided, which reflects the price plan. I don't believe that education should be based on means, so please get in touch if you're looking for more affordable tuition and I'll be happy to negotiate.
