About Sonya

Our services try to best accommodate what the student needs most with the upmost care and respect. The services provided allows us to understand the way a student learns and how they accept certain concepts.

I went to school for psychology and accounting. I have worked with children all my life!

I love seeing the children grow and see them lighten up because they are doing better for themselves.

School is not easy to manage alone, especially if a child is going through something. There were ups and downs in my life, and I could never get my studies straightened out. There was no one to guide me. After some time, I realized that I want to help students who are experiencing hardships and even students who aren't experiencing hardships to overcome any inadequacies in studying.

I've been tutoring for 4 years and opened a small start up tutoring business. I went to school for psychology and studied child development and have experience with tutoring and working with children.

About the lesson

The student would normally bring homework or I would provide work. Then, observe the way the student answers the questions, if they are struggling, getting distracted, or frustrated. From the question the he/she can't answer, I would try to explain several different ways to see which better suites the student.

I've worked with all grades k-12. International students. Students who have trouble focusing. Students who have experience with harsh teachers.
