About Margaret
I'm a recent graduate from Kenyon College with a BA in Classics with a focus in Latin language. I have studied Latin for 8 years and am passionate about sharing my love for the language and knowledge thereof with others. I received several awards during my college career for Latin translation and am a member of the Theta Pi chapter of Eta Sigma Phi, a national classics honor society.
Latin is a language that blends creativity and analytics in a way that is applicable to endless facets of life and learning. My Latin studies have made me a better English speaker and writer, helped with language aquisition, gave me an acute attention to detail, and taught me to be more creative in my day-to-day ventures (among so many, many other things!). My philosophy in teaching is to expose what Latin can do to enrich one's life overall, rather than being a subject that is widely deemed difficult and defunct.
