About Kelly
I'm focused on helping mid-level folks develop the skills they need to be successful leaders. Skills like delegation, prioritization, decision making, communication. These things may not be as sexy as some of the traits that other leadership mentors and coaches talk about, but in my experience, these are the things that people need help with then they move into a leadership role. Along the way, we can work on ideas like emotional intelligence, resilience, team building, and all the other things that come from building the skills listed above.
I was lucky to have a really good manager supporting me and a company that provided management training when I first moved into a leadership role. As I've moved through my career and worked at different companies, I've found how rare this is. I want to share what I’ve learned to help others.
I'm geniouly curious, so I love working one-on-one or in small teams to get to know people and learn about their goals and challenges. I believe in the power of brain storming and collaboration, and I like to provide personalized support, encouragement, and training to help them achieve their goals.
I have worked in corporate America for a long time, eventually working at the director level. Along the way, I've taken management classes and had lots of management experience to draw upon.
I'm also a Birkman Certified Professional, which allows me to use the Birkman, a personality and work styles assessment tool, to help dial in on someone's strenght and possible blind spots.
Finally, I'm a certified meditation teacher so I help clients find better balance and ease through all the work and life stresses using mindfulness and breathing techniques.

We start with a conversation, using video conference or phone, to get to know each other a little better and discuss professional goals and challenges. My focus is working with midlevel people, people moving into leadership roles or who want to move into leadership roles, or those looking for professional development overall, so it is important to know where someone is starting from and where they want to do.
From this initial conversation, I will recommend next steps. This could include a short consultation contract with two or three sessions, or it could be a 6-8 week contract, depending on what the client wants to achieve.
