About Jessie
Learning voice is a wonderful, frustrating, and sometimes emotional journey. That can take some students by surprise. We are prepared to assist you with all the fears, roadblocks, and celebrations that come with progress.
Our teaching methods are tailored to you and your needs. Mostly, you can expect in each lesson a physical warm-up, vocal warm-up, and repertoire. Some students have found a short visual meditation to be more beneficial than a physical warm-up (Jez is a Yoga Alliance Certified in guided meditation).
Jez and Aleç have over 30 years performing experience in pretty much every genre. We know the aesthetic needs of opera, musical theater, pop, rap, jazz, blues, and gospel, as well as how to use your authentic voice for speech and acting. Jez received training from AMDA and Baldwin Wallace University. Aleç received training from Baldwin Wallace University and University of Maryland-Maryland Opera Studio.
