About Marcella
I am a rising freshman at Columbia University and enjoy helping others succeed academically. I have 50+ hours of experience tutoring high school mathematics and SAT prep (both Math and Reading & Writing).
I am available to tutor a variety of topics including math up through Calculus BC; up to AP-level biology, chemistry, and environmental science; reading and writing; and SAT/ACT prep. I have worked with mostly high school learners but am open to working with other age groups.
I use an active learning approach to tutoring by working through practice problems together with my learners. I also give them the opportunity to try problems on their own and step in whenever they get stuck.
