About Karyna

I enjoy tutoring people because when I'm able to give clarity to someone who was struggling to grasp a concept, I feel accomplished knowing that they learned and understand what was once a struggle for them.

When tutoring I ask where and why they may be confused, this helps me to find where I need to focus on in terms of reaching the goal, which is giving them a better understanding. I will ask several questions to try to stimulate their minds into a place of being challenged, the mind thrives when challenged. If we hit a road block in understanding, I explain the steps needed in order to complete the task at hand. I like when my clients get engaged and excited, because they likely didn't enjoy participating because of the confusion they felt with that subject. Learning can be fun, once there is an understanding.

In the past, I would help my peers when teachers were unable to give a better explanation. I was able to help them to the point where they were helping other people in that class learn what the teacher struggled to get through to the class.

I took part in an honors English class, a pre-AP Biology class, and I am a member in the National Honor Soceity. My grades are A's and sometimes I would get a few high B's. My GPA sat high at 5.183
