About Kerri

Hello, aspiring learners! My name is Kerri McLean, and I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to introduce myself as your tutor. I have been teaching ELAR and Social Studies in the classroom for 10 years. I bring a passion for language, a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment, and a wealth of experience that I believe will make our study sessions both enriching and enjoyable.

About Me:

I hold a Bachelor's in English with a minor in Education from Texas State University, where my love for the intricacies of language and literature truly blossomed. Throughout my academic journey, I've delved into various literary genres, honed my writing skills, and developed a deep appreciation for the power of effective communication, along with passing these passions along to my students ranging from 4th grade to 12th grade.

Working with Me:

Studying English with me is not just about dissecting grammar rules or memorizing vocabulary; it's an immersive and engaging experience. I believe in tailoring my approach to each student's unique learning style, creating personalized lesson plans that cater to your strengths, and addressing any challenges you may encounter. Together, we'll explore the wonders of literature, refine your writing prowess, and enhance your overall command of the English language.

Expect our sessions to be dynamic, interactive, and infused with a genuine enthusiasm for the subject matter. I'm here to not only impart knowledge but to ignite a curiosity that will stay with you beyond our tutoring sessions.

Why Choose Me:

What sets me apart as an English tutor is my dedication to creating a supportive and collaborative learning atmosphere. I understand that everyone has different goals and starting points, and I am committed to guiding you on your unique journey. Patience, encouragement, and a sense of humor are integral aspects of my teaching style, ensuring that our sessions are not only effective but enjoyable.

My past students have not only seen improvements in their academic performance but have also developed a deeper appreciation for the beauty of language. I bring a genuine enthusiasm for helping others succeed, and I am confident that my blend of academic knowledge and interpersonal skills will contribute to a fulfilling and transformative tutoring experience for you.

Thank you for considering me as your English tutor. I look forward to the opportunity to embark on this learning journey together and witness your growth and success in the world of English studies.
