About Margaret

Welcome to the tutoring services of Mrs. Margaret Watson in Newark, DE! With a dedicated focus on Dyslexia Therapy, ESL, literature, special needs tutoring, and reading and writing support, I am here to help students of all backgrounds and abilities thrive.

As a passionate and experienced educator, I tailor each session to meet individual needs, fostering both academic success and a genuine love for learning.

I have a Master's Degree in Special Education, Elementary Education, and Reading. I love to work with dyslexia students.

Teaching is my life's passion, and I have been instructing students in grades K-8 for 28 years. This is my fifth year working at Jones Elementary School in the Christina School District in Christina, DE., and I've previously worked In the Red Clay Consolidated School District.

My students are the reason I get up everyday to come to work. I am inspired by my students hard work. I am also very good at what I do! My expertise is in providing one-on-one tutoring, Dyslexia Intervention, and small group instruction with effective reading strategies.

I am also a licensed and certified Dyslexia Interventionist. The formal name for this type of instruction is multisensory structured language education (MSLE). Multisensory teaching uses sight, sound, movement, and touch to help kids connect language to words. Experts often consider it the gold standard for teaching kids with dyslexia to read.

I have been very successful in raising students' reading levels by way of explicit, systematic and sequential reading instruction.

About the lesson

Literacy lessons offered by Margaret are tailored to each student's needs and level. Lessons can also be held online. Lessons are also available in Newark. The first lesson is free to define learning goals and methodology.
