About Rachel
Hi there! My name is Rachel; I have about 6 years of tutoring experience and a background in teaching many different age groups. I have a degree in Rhetoric and Writing from The University of Texas, and a great passion for teaching.
I employ a compassion-first teaching philosophy that considers the student as a whole person, not just as a name on the schedule. I also have experience working with people who have learning differences, and am always patient and kind.
My specialties are essays and papers of many varieties, as well as the building blocks that go into creating strong, confident writers. This includes vocabulary expansion, prompt and assignment breakdown, and essay/paper structure analysis.
I can also tutor in many other language arts subjects and am open to inquiry!
