About Baoqing
My name is Baoqing. It means 'young forever' in Chinese. I am a Beijing native with a Masters in Teaching Chinese from University of Massachusetts Amherst and five years of experience in the US teaching college students, K-12 and adults in both formal classroom settings and in 1-on-1 tutoring. I love sharing Chinese culture with everyone. I am particularly strong in customizing my class to students of different age and level.
I have recently created curriculum on COVID-19, endangered animals in China, and Chinese cuisines and food philosophy. My current project is developing a curriculum that teaches Chinese by playing board games and writing and drawing journals.
Besides teaching the language, I also enjoy practicing calligraphy, drawing, trying new recipes, etc. Please check the gallery to see what my online classes look like and what activities I do with my students.
