About Professor
Founded in 2011, Capoeira Luanda Brooklyn offers open level training in the Afro-Brazilian Martial Art of Capoeira in Brooklyn, NY and surrounding areas. The classes, led by a ContraMestre pião with over 30 years of experience from Salvador, Bahia, Brazil - the birthplace of Capoeira, cater to both children and adults in a flexible, welcoming environment. they also offer family packages. The rich art form taught here blends martial arts, dance, music, and acrobatics, celebrating its origins as a means of self-protection developed by West African slaves in Brazil.
