About Goju
Goju Karate is the leading traditional martial arts dojo in New York City.
Located in Midtown Manhattan at the corner of 57th Street and Lexington Ave, our beautiful dojo is over 4,000 square feet of training area and locker rooms.
We offer a full range of classes every week, in the evenings, afternoons, and on weekends.
Our dojo community is very serious, committed, and incredibly welcoming of new students.

Students take an introductory class which is one-on-one with Sensei -- the purpose of this class isn't to test ability or physical fitness, but rather to ensure that students are serious about training in karatedo and that our dojo is a good fit for them.
We have students of all ages -- the youngest student in our adult program is 17 and the oldest is 74. About half our students are women, and our karatedo students come from a broad range of backgrounds and places throughout the Bay Area (in fact, some of our students travel from Oregon and Nevada to train with us, spending long weekends in the Bay Area).

We also offer a kids program for kids 13 and older (in a separate division and separate classes).

Goju Karate is an incredible place to learn karatedo and more importantly, to really work on yourself mentally and physically. The dojo is small, and the students are incredibly kind and supportive. I feel this is like my second home!

Our tuition is simple: $200 per month, for unlimited classes. There are no contracts or other requirements, other than a commitment to train seriously.
