About Kathlyn
I have been tutoring since a very young age. Originally, I just helped my sister (she had learning disabilities like dyslexia and ADHD) but after her dramatic improvement, I decided to help other kids too. I am very involved in my town and school. I work well with students my age and younger, although I am open to tutoring anyone older as well. I have taught lessons in technology and social media to several elderly couples. I have taken advanced courses in every science besides physics, and I speak enough Spanish to get by, though not exceptionally. My math level goes through calculus, and I am also a huge language arts fanatic. Literature and writing are two passions I have harbored for many years and I love spreading that appreciation for learning to others. I look forward to working with you!

I prefer to get to know my student before we dive too far into teaching, simply because I believe that every person learns best when their interests and learning styles are incorporated into the lesson. Often, if the person is a school-aged, I have them show me what homework they are currently having trouble with and we begin from there.
