About Fiona

I offer individualized math, english, and chemistry tutoring sessions up to the high school level. I am currently a college student pursuing a B.S in Civil Engineering. I was a member of the Academy of Future Educators, a club tutoring high school students in classroom settings, for 2 years. I am currently a tutor for the Monrovia Unified School District.

My age could be a possible barrier during your consideration process. Due to this smaller age gap, it is more convenient and comfortable for your child to communicate anything they want to me. I am also here to provide college advice or any other educational information to the best of my ability.

I enjoy helping students with improving and gaining confidence in their understanding of academic content. I like creating a positive and lasting impact while making the learning process interesting and unique to each student. Additionally, I love conversing with students from various backgrounds since it improves each other's interpersonal skills while establishing a well-acquainted relationship.

About the lesson

I want to understand the student's preferred learning style as well as their weaknesses in the subject. From there, I will adjust my tutoring strategies to fit what they like.

The students I have worked with vary from elementary to high school grade levels. I also have experience with ESL students. Subjects include pre-algebra, algebra 1, chemistry, mandarin, and English.
