About Julie
I am a soon-to-be UCLA Computational Biology graduate with a love for tutoring math and reading comprehension. I tutored and worked with kids for 2 years on a variety of subjects, from coding to neuroscience to math. I love to teach and truly help students understand and enjoy what they are learning. I have a strong background in the STEM field, but am also an avid reader and writer. I provide an interactive learning experience, so that the student feels comfortable asking questions and trying new things. I talk with the student, not at them. I think it is important that there is critical thinking and true learning rather than just regurgitating the material.
