About Juan
I am able to tutor in Algebra, Algebra II, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Probability and Statistics, Linear Algebra, and beyond. I have tutored different types of clients: high school students, adult learners, GED students, college-level classes, test takers such as MTELs, GREs and SATs, and international students. I am bilingual (English and Spanish), have been a certified high school math teacher for 18 years and for 6 summers worked at MS(2) and Summer Session in Phillips Academy. I have a Bachelors Degree in Mathematics from Merrimack College and a Masters in Education with a focus in Mathematics from Cambridge College. Throughout my career, I have maintained my professional development, such as completing Boston College’s Promise program and various other opportunities.
I’m blessed that passion is my “job” and I love helping students understand a particular topic. Professionally, nothing brings me more joy than watching students practice mathematical processes, comprehend the concept behind each step, and attain a solution. The sense of accomplishment students feel gives my “job” purpose.
