About Sara
Hi! My name is Sara Gonzalez and I am a mathematics major at the University of Michigan offering math tutoring services.
My qualifications include having taken Algebra 1 Honors, Algebra 2 Honors, Pre-Calculus Honors, AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, AP Statistics, and AICE Mathematics and Statistics A. I received 5s on all AP exams and an A on the AICE Mathematics exam. I also received a 780/800 score on the math portion of the SAT. I have tutored various grade levels as well as SAT math for 6 years.
Since I have recently taken so many math courses and the SAT, I am familiar with the experience of learning mathematics. I have realized that the best way to learn math is by understanding the reasoning behind problems, rather than just memorizing formulas. Understanding the concepts and logic behind mathematics makes it intriguing, and allows students to build on their knowledge. I will provide students with 1 on 1, catered math lessons to ensure their growth and success!
