About Alexa

Hello, I'm Alexa and I am a recent college graduate; I majored in Civil Engineering. You can say I love math. I am passionate about teaching and explaining math concepts to my students until they completely understand it. I enjoy very much growing my students confidence with difficult math problems, and I won't give up until my students can do it effortlessly on their own.

What makes me the right choice? I understand what difficulties my students are having because I, too, had the same questions, problems, and difficulties. So, I tailor my approach from my students' perspective: I take the time to discover not only what they're having trouble understanding, but also what their original approach to solving it is, and from there I guide my students to the answer.

I find this approach to be both effective as well as great for long-term memory rentention.

I've been tutoring students in all subject matters since I volunteered to do so in middle school and high school. In 2013, I decided to make tutoring my profession, specifically math tutoring. I have had the privilege to have tutored over 65 students since then, and I'm looking forward to adding more student success stories to my accomplishments.

My students' success is my success! Come on in to my virtual classroom, you can ask me anything ;)

-Alexa, your online tutor

First, I get to know about him or her, discover what they are having the most difficulty with, and then we come up with a target plan on how to best approach and resolve the difficulties.

As well, if it is homework they are needing help with, we get right to it and start working problem sets together!
