About Christa

Fun fact: I can say the dialogue from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone by heart. I also speak three languages! Hi, I'm Christa. I love working with students! Tutoring, to me, is most rewarding when a new concept “clicks” with a student - their excitement is contagious, and it’s a privilege to be able to help them reach that point! On a more personal level, I am a patient and caring type of person!

I partner with students on a one-on-one basis in STEM subjects through SoFlo Tutors, my tutoring agency. I studied Mathematics at Wayne State University and have been tutoring for 2 years. At SoFlo, we work to raise grades, strengthen understanding, and increase confidence. Since Math and Science tend to build on themselves, our methodology is to identify gaps in a student’s knowledge of a subject and help to fill them in with individualized lessons! In the long-term, we hope to work ourselves out of a job by helping your student reach their fullest potential!
